The creativity and innovation scan

Everyone is creative by nature. As an employer, the trick is to benefit from this. Our research project shows you how to make optimum use of your staff members' creativity, thus creating value for your organisation. Our aim is a better understanding of creativity and we provide practical recommendations to facilitate creativity and innovation.

  • How do I ensure that my employees' creativity leads to innovative applications benefiting the organisation?
  • How do I create a climate in which an innovation-driven strategy permeates the entire company?
  • What role does not only the CEO, but also middle management and line management, play in supporting creativity and innovation at various levels?

We'll try and answer these types of questions by carrying out this research.

What we are looking for

We are looking for organisations - or organisational departments - which are interested in issues relating to creativity and innovation and would like to have a free innovation scan made of their organisation.

Who we are

The research will be conducted in the context of the “Creativity within Organisations” project at the University of Groningen. The principal investigator of the project is Prof. Bernard Nijstad. Further information about the project can be found at www.rug.nl/creativity.

Our proposal to you
You learn from us, we learn from you.

We are happy to share with you our expertise in the field of creativity and innovation within organisations. When we carry out this research together with you, you will learn more about creativity and innovation in your organisation and about how to further encourage creativity and innovation.

As a participating organisation, you will receive:

  • Reports on how your organisation relates to similar organisations (benchmarking). Using the knowledge derived from these reports, you will be able to make strategic decisions about reinforcing creativity and innovation in your organisation
  • Free participation in seminars, workshops and conferences organised in the context of the project

What do we expect from you?
Participation in our research. This means that you give us permission to talk with your staff members and managers and to collect data. Essentially, this involves completing questionnaires and, where applicable, making documents or company details available. Which details are required will depend on your specific organisation and be agreed in consultation.

Confidentiality
It goes without saying that all your data will be dealt with confidentially. We shall never, in whatever way, disclose your identity or the identity of your organisation without your express permission. We exclusively use data for the purpose of conducting scientific research and not for commercial purposes.
